Why this site exists

This is the public part of my second brain: the references I lean on, and writing that synthesizes my personal experiences & learnings.

I often repeat consistent themes in conversations with other startup founders or operators. So in the spirit of scalability, I am forcing myself to document these conversations in writing.

I hope this will improve the quality of my own thinking, and help extend the reach of my learnings to others. If you find it useful, please share it with others who might benefit!

Who it's for

Mainly other startup operators, and anyone curious about starting something or joining a startup.

Principles

• Quick reads. Short and to the point. Every word earns its place, in the spirit of William Zinsser's On Writing Well.
• Plain files. Markdown and typed data in a git repo: easy to write, easy to move, full history.
• Human-backed. I use AI tools to assist with writing, but I stand behind every word here.
• No tracking. No analytics, cookies or ad scripts.

How it's made

Built with Next.js, hosted on Vercel, with infrastructure managed in OpenTofu. The design borrows Heron's brand for now (Lustria, Figtree and Overpass Mono, from Google Fonts). Social icons are from Bootstrap Icons.
